Greetings,
I am pleased to share the next step in the Universal Code of Conduct [1] work. The Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) draft charter [2] is now ready for your review.
The Enforcement Guidelines [3] require a Building Committee [4] form to draft a charter that outlines procedures and details for a global committee to be called the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) [5]. Over the past few months, the U4C Building Committee worked together as a group to discuss and draft the U4C charter. The U4C Building Committee welcomes feedback about the draft charter now through 22 September 2023. After that date, the U4C Building Committee will revise the charter as needed and a community vote will open shortly afterward.
Join the conversation during the conversation hours [6] or on Meta-wiki [7].

Greetings,
I am following up to say thank you to everyone who participated in the community comment period for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) Charter. Finalizing the U4C Charter is the next step in the UCoC process and we would not have gotten to this point in the process without such great community participation.
The next step in this process is now for the Building Committee to consider and reflect on the comments and conversations from the comment period. U4C Building Committee members will discuss and prepare the Charter for ratification. More information and a detailed timeline about next steps is on the U4CBC project page on Meta-wiki.
