As a Brit, I'm pleased to see London was

only non-US city considered, though? I'm also curious as to why you
considered San Francisco better than London - to my knowledge, London

think was a major consideration is choosing a base for the WMF.
As a sidebar, and someone who lives in London, I'm really *pleased* that
the WMF didn't move here! Whilst London is clearly the city with the most
countries/places in the world served by direct air services (and hence
competitive prices on all those routes) the UK has some of the, er, "most
difficult" libel laws around which would, imho, be an immediate
consideration for the continued activities of the WMF and the essence that
the legal base (and servers) remained in Florida wouldn't stop the
probable flood of litigation.
