To be fuly sure of that, you should probably first make sure untill when that checkbox was there on meta? Is there some way to find that out?

Back in the day, you had to tick a checkbox to agree to license the work under GFDL when uploading it. So, we can probably safely tag all those logos with GFDL. -- Peace & Love, Erik
