I am writing today to provide an update to the [[Wikimedia Foundation elections/2024#Timeline https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections/2024#Timeline]] on Meta-wiki.
The administrative process that follows the SecurePoll vote is taking longer than was anticipated by the published timeline. This means that the *Preliminary announcement of results*, originally anticipated by October 9, is now anticipated by the end of October 11. This has been updated in the timeline [1].
I appreciate the effort everyone has put into this process so far and, like many of you, look forward to learning the results.
