I am writing today to provide an update to the [[Wikimedia Foundation elections/2024#Timeline]] on Meta-wiki.

The administrative process that follows the SecurePoll vote is taking longer than was anticipated by the published timeline. This means that the Preliminary announcement of results, originally anticipated by October 9, is now anticipated by the end of October 11. This has been updated in the timeline [1].

I appreciate the effort everyone has put into this process so far and, like many of you, look forward to learning the results.
