If we are going to be precise, CN is the code for the People's Republic of
China. :) and zh is the code for a macro language that includes many
languages. The code zh is best associated with written text and simplified
Mandarin at that. The code for Mandarin is cmn.

Chamorra. The language code for Chinese is zh:. The country code for
China is .cn.
