Well, actually, no matter where we hold Wikimania in the future, a lot
of people will find it a long way to travel. Such is the nature of a
global project.
Of course, but that's not a reason not to try and make it possible for
as many people as possible to come. There are different sizes of "a
lot".
It seems to me that that is the principal underlying rationale for the
rotation criterion.
