Hello.
I have detected that a participant just uploaded photographs he found on internet, so I must proceed to mark them for deletion. Sigh.
My question is, Does someone know about any [semi-]automated tool to verify if uploaded images already existed? I use Google image search, but that tool requires checking single images at a time.
Thanks, Racso
I think I'll wait until tomorrow before asking for deletion, to let the participant answer (just in case [?]).
I have another question about the topic: should I disqualify invalid images (e.g. from monuments that aren't on the lists) immediately, or wait (until when? the end of the contest?)?

Yes, copyvio's are always a problem - although last year there were /relatively/ (compared to normal commons uploads) few. It seems this year it's a bit more.
I would suggest to disqualify early - or else you may forget about it. Some countries used for this purpose a categorization system: they inserted a category through the form automatically (something about 'unchecked') and would simply change that to 'checked' if they checked the image fit the description in the database.

Thanks. Tried the plugin but the results were not very good. However, found this Chrome plugin: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dajedkncpodkggklbegccjpmnglmnflm. It gave me [a lot] better results (just in case someone is looking for a similar tool). I was thinking in making some kind of script to auto-check categories, but I don't think that would be reliable/useful as a human should still check the results :S.
@Lodewijk: Thanks for the suggestions.

Several communities have struggled for the WMF to help get Yahoo! BOSS Search API keys to automatically look for text copyvios and as far as I know they've always failed; I don't know if Google Images has APIs or how they work and I seem to remember an unfavourable discussion about TinEye as service: anyway, this is something we should really work on but which is probably not going to happen within a month.
