Why would I care about translations to my local language if my country is not listed in the upload campaigns in the app?
David E. Narvaez
Hello David,
sorry I can't answer your question as I do not know for which country you speak. If Your name is indicating Spanish, than both Andorra and Spain are listed. Other spanish countries will be listed as soon as they have an URL set up. So is the case for Argentina and Mexico.
I hope You could get an answer from that.

What's the URL to set up for Panama?
David E. Narváez
Hi David,
unfortunately your emails on this list are the only ones I have seen so far. As I understand it, the problem is that Panama is not yet in the monument database. Several other countries are missing too. Maarten has created a bugzilla ticket to track the status for each country, Panama's ticket is on https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38327 . Once the country is in the database, it should appear automatically in the app. You can create an account on bugzilla and add yourself to the ticket (on the 'cc list') - then you will get an email if there's an update on the ticket.
As you can see on https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/showdependencytree.cgi?id=38314&hide_reso... there are several other countries (23 collections in total it seems) that are also waiting to be added.
Best regards,
Lodewijk

How fast is automatically? Because the ticket was closed as fixed, and after a couple of days and even a new version of the Android app our country is not yest listed (but other countries were added). Am I missing something?

As I understand it, the Panamese monuments áre now in the database. There seems to be a specific problem for Panama about displaying them in the app. They are trying to figure out why.
Best regards, Lodewijk

They are in the toolserver db: http://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/api/api.php?action=search&srcountry=pa
but not in wlm.wikimedia.org: http://wlm.wikimedia.org/api/api.php?action=search&srcountry=pa
The WLM app uses the later url (cf assets/www/js/config.js).
Arthur seems to have fixed the problem: https://github.com/wikimedia/WLMMobile/commit/7087c99f49379bc6d9f4d0ee7e709a...
So it should be there by launch.

The latest version of the app should now have the missing data (available as of https://github.com/wikimedia/WLMMobile/commit/4ca53603770f03e6aead1ba604c035...). This is not a problem of data missing in the database (nor discrepancies between toolserver and wlm.wikimedia.org which I believe are synchronized once per day), but rather how we keep track of campaign data in the app. At the moment, campaigns need to be manually whitelisted in order for their associated monuments to be displayed in the app. We then generate a static file of campaign meta-information to store locally in the app to minimize API requests (for performance reasons). As Jon pointed out, I've now whitelisted the missing campaigns and updated the campaign meta-info file in the app.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Arthur
