Hello. Guillermo Vasquez (megavas@outlook.com), a colombian participant, would like his Flickr pictures to be imported to Commons. He sent me an e-mail asking for help with the process. Can any bot controller help us with that? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
The following would be the images to be imported, and the data for each corresponding monument (permission given to import every picture of each collection; CC-BY-SA 3.0):
Parque arqueológico de San Agustín - 17-007 http://www.flickr.com/photos/megavas/sets/72157631293508324/
Casa de La Moneda - 00-017 http://www.flickr.com/photos/megavas/sets/72157623404085525/
Museo Nacional - 00-101 http://www.flickr.com/photos/megavas/sets/72157623369103258/
If you need information about how do images data look in Commons, please check this example: https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:%22Laberinto%22-Edifici... (please be aware that some data should not be used when importing, such as the last category and the location).
If you need any extra information before proceeding, please tell me so!
Thanks! Oscar

Is relatively easy, you can do it yourself: https://toolserver.org/~magnus/flickr2commons.php

That tool seems to require pictures to be imported one by one, doesn't it? If it does, it would be a bit slow to process them all. Isn't there a faster, automated way?

Indeed, we in the Romanian community prefer a semi-manual import to clean the images in the process too.
There is the "new version" of the same tool which work on sets: http://toolserver.org/~magnus/ts2/flickr2commons
You will still need to edit the image pages after the upload and add the monument IDs.
As a side-note, I checked one of the sets, http://www.flickr.com/photos/megavas/sets/72157631293508324/ and there the license is still proprietary, not CC-BY-SA, an import attempt will fail.

Could you have him add the monument ids as a tag with a given prefix?
We could use flickrriper to import them.

Each set corresponds to a monument (every pic on it would have the same ID). Wouldn't be possible to tell the tool to put a custom ID (and maybe run it 3 times, one for each set, changing the parameters or something)?
Any news about this? Would it be easy for anyone to import and label them with the available info?
Also, can someone please help me with this request? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Bots/Work_requests#Label_monuments...
Sorry for the trouble, and thanks!

Done. They are the edits of Wiki-Bot with summary "Monumento Nacional de Colombia 06-050".
