Hi all,
Here is more information for those of you who have signed up to use Montage for your jury process this year. [1]
The developers of Montage (cc-ed) have been working hard in the past months on the latest release of Montage which will, among other things, bring some of the features and functionalities you told us about last year. [2] We are excited to bring these improvements to you, and here is the timelines for it [2]:
* 2017-09-30 around 21:00 UTC: I will start creating campaigns for each country that has signed up in [1]. * 2017-10-01 around 21:00 UTC: We will share the link to where the new montage version will live with you. Your jury coordinator (listed in [1]) can create round 1 of your jury process then. * 2017-10-02 around 21:00 UTC: your jury can start the jury process.
Any issue in [3] tagged with "high priority" will be ready by 2017-10-01, 21:00 UTC. These are features that you need in place to create your round 1. Issues tagged with "normal priority" will be done starting 2017-10-02. These are features that are either not critical in the early days of your jury process or we know that are relevant only when you get to the final ranking round.
While you are waiting the new version of Montage to become available: please make sure you have your jury ready and also make sure you have read https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikilovesmonuments/2017-September/0086...
Questions and comments are welcome.
Best, Lily
[1] If you haven't signed up and you want to use Montage, please sign your country up at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons_talk:Montage as soon as possible. [2] We may be able to meet the deadlines earlier than the times specified here, but we can't promise that. If we have things ready earlier, we will shift deadlines for you to start earlier. [3] Such features and functionalities (in Github language: issues) are listed at https://github.com/hatnote/montage/issues

We need a few hours to get this information to you. Since I know some of you may stay up late for creating your round 1, I'm sending this email to say that please sleep :) and that we expect to post this information at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons_talk:Montage in the next 5-6 hours.

We still expect this schedule to work. If there is any change, we will let you know here and at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons_talk:Montage.
One note to countries who had a Flickr walk: Maarten and I have done some tests and are ready to transfer Flickr photos from Flickr to Commons. We are talking about a couple of hundred photos in total. We have set aside tomorrow evening UTC to transfer them and clean them up for your campaigns. If you can lend us a hand, ping me offlist. Otherwise, please expect your round 1 to start on 2017-10-03 for us to have enough time to sort out the transfer.
Thanks, Lily

Hi all,
For those of you who had already signed up to start the jury process in Montage, your campaigns are ready. Please read the instructions at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Montage#Instructions_for_coordina... and follow the steps.
We expect to do more front-end development in the tool in the coming week and you may notice some changes as you and your jury work with the tool. We will do our best to do only positive changes and minimize disruptions. :)
Best, Lily

Hi Arild,
Please find my response below
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: A V arildvagen@yahoo.se To: Wiki Loves Monuments Photograph Competition wikilovesmonuments@lists.wikimedia.org, "wlm-announce@lists.wikimedia.org" wlm-announce@lists.wikimedia.org Cc: Mahmoud Hashemi makuro@gmail.com Bcc: Date: Mon, 2 Oct 2017 20:49:05 +0000 (UTC) Subject: SV: [Wiki Loves Monuments] Montage jury tool in the coming days Sorry but we (in the Norwegian jury) have problem with montage. We have 384 images but when we used montage we only saw 240 images.
Your round 1 has 384 photos in total, 25 of which are disqualified. This will leave you with 359 qualified photos. You have chosen quorum=2 which means each photo should be reviewed by 2 of your jurors. So, in total, there are 359x2=718 tasks for your jury to process. You have 3 jury members, so roughly, you should expect each person to receive 718/3=239.3 tasks (which is the 240 you mentioned). This is what your jury has received as tasks.
If something is unclear, please feel free to ping me off-list. Please keep Pawel cc-ed as he's in UTC+2 and may see your message earlier than I. (I'm in UTC-7).
Best, Lily
