Hi all,
on Friday May 13, 2011 there will be an international Wiki Loves Monuments workshop in Berlin. This workshop will be organized by me and Maarten and Wikimedia Deutschland.
Because we're organizing a European contest, we would like to make sure that every participating country/region is going to be represented at this workshop, so that we can coordinate matters, exchange experiences and help wach other with problems.
*who is coming* I would like to ask all participating countries to check with themselves who will be going. There is a maximum of 25 participants, so please restrict yourself in sending people. There will be no absolute maxima at this stage, but I ask for your understanding. Please send *asap* on this list who will be coming. We will then provide you with a code to register.
*costs* The costs for this meeting will be 25-35 euro per night, incl breakfast and your own travel costs. If you are representing a chapter that would like to join WLM and to attend, but does not have the funds, please send your details anyway, and let us know that you need financial support. We will find a way to support you.
*program* The program still will have to be figured out. However, on http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2011/Timeline you can find several topics that will have to be discussed.
*hackathon* This workshop is coupled to the hackathon happening 13-15 May in Berlin too. This allows for interaction with the developers, and ways to ask them to help us write tools etc which we need. See for more information about the hackathon: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Berlin_Hackathon_2011 . If you are a developer, you will also be able to register there. Some developers might also attend our workshop. If you're a developer, consider to hang around two more days :)
If you have any questions, please ask them. I dont have to remind you that we need to act quickly here, sorry for the delays, because the tickets will get more expensive etc.
Best regards,
Lodewijk

Hi Raul,
the workshop will start at 09:00h, so I suggest everybody will arrive one day before.
The form and password etc will be sent to whomever tells here that they will be wanting to come for their country to this workshop. Do I understand that you will be attending for Wikimedia Estonia?
Best regards,
Lodewijk

Since I'm going to participate in the Mediawiki Hackaton, I might as well attend the workshop for WMFI - although it is not yet 100% sure we will be able to participate.

Hello!
Robert Reisman (robert.reisman@gmail.com) and Raul Kern (raunator@gmail.com) will be representatives of Estonian chapter on WLM meeting in Berlin. They are both subscribed to this list also. Their travel and accommodation expenses are covered by Polish chapter (thank you again!). And we are kindly asking for the registration code.
Best Teele
Hi,
yes, thank you. I was busy until today with the WMNL board stuff (I am no longer a board member now, theoretically leaving me with more time) - I will make sure this gets handled the next days.
Other chapters: Please let us know who you are sending ASAP too! I only have information about:
* Poland * Estonia * Finland
Best, Lodewijk

Hello,
Poulpy and I (Jean-Frédéric) will be representatives of the French chapter on WLM meeting in Berlin, with help from the chapter.
(We’ll most certainly stay for the Hackaton as well)
See you there!
Aubrey (e.g. me) will represent Italy (I'm coming just to learn, still discussing with the Ministry for WLM).
Aubrey

WM CH at the moment has no members available during those days.
I have proposed to be present but it's not sure 100%.
