Hi,
Saw that on Twitter [1] : a WLM upload live stream (Only Mobile and Flickr, apparently)
Since I did not hear about it before, I figured that would be the case for others as well. :)

We had one in the past years too country based - so the script should be lying around still :)

I have ported it to http://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/stream/ to choose the countries. The country list is not very beauty (too long), but I don't knwo where to put it that fits nicely.
It currently lists only some tests photos I uploaded, but that should fix itself as soon as the contest begins :)

The second one takes them from all countries (or from a country you choose).
Thanks for the link Arthur. I had figured it was from Jon, and was waiting him to appear on irc to jump on him, but didn't realise the polaroiderizer was also developed by him.
It's a really cool application. It shows some bugs on Chrome, though.
By the way, the original app flickr mode shows a number of 'All rights reserved images', which are -for some strange reason- tagged with wikilovesmonuments.

Yes, but, also images uploaded with the UploadWizard? I answer my own question: it looks like it does, because it is showing some images from Phillipines!!
This is pretty cool! It has begun! Is PH the first country that began the contest?

I've made some changes to the buttons at http://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/stream/ . I've checked across some browsers, in case you find any bug tell me. The old version is still at p.css_old, in case anything went wrong.

I was wondering who did that. They look much better now. :)
I have removed Hungary.
Jon, what do you opine on moving the polaroiderizer to gerrit, and stacking our changes on top of yours ?
Joan those buttons are awesome. Send me a pull request! https://github.com/jdlrobson/polaroiderizer

Please consider using API via HTTPS when the tool is used that way. It will help get rid of bothering security messages in Google Chrome. (In order to load insecure content on a HTTPS-delivered page, you need to press a special button in Chrome, you need to do this every time and there's no way to make Chrome do it automatically).

Hi,
It looks like they don't work no more... Too bad, I miss wlm-latest.phphttp://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/tools/wlm-latest.php which was very useful.
For https://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/stream/, it is very nice on a big screen, but when seen on a small one, or embedded in a website like there http://wikilovesmonuments.fr/photos/, the interface takes all the screen... Is it possible to call it with parameters in the url to - select a specific country (and remove the Country buttons) - remove the useless ads for Android and Github - and why not choose the background color ;)
It would be wonderful if this could be done !
Best regards, Sylvain.

Sure. Jon, can you have a look? For the background color, we were adding a button yesterday switching two colors.
The http://jonrobson.me.uk/wlm/ version uses a different background coloring, where you get a different one each time.
Now, what kind of background coloring were you expecting ? :)
Its just a generic JavaScript library so its just a case of running it on your site.
http://wikilovesmonuments.us/ has exactly what you are asking for :). I'm on my mobile phone at the moment so can't access the script you need to embed but I'm sure someone else can jump in in the mean time.
PS. The ads on this page are ads for our official Android app and a link for users to get involved coding the live stream... I don't think they are useless ;) On Sep 1, 2012 7:19 AM, "Platonides" platonides@gmail.com wrote:

Reminds me, does anyone feel like fixing the total uploads thing and the gallery of latest uploads? A lot local sites used these last year

This tool was put together very quickly by Jon Robson, one of the Foundation engineers who's been working on the WLM android app. The code that runs it is open source - feel free to take a look, make improvements, etc!
