Instagram and Creative Commons

Dear all, a doubt: is Instagram compatible with Creative Commons? Can I upload *my* Instagram pics on Commons (so could it be used for WLM)? Please consider that I'm not suggesting Instagram pics are good for WLM (they are filtered and all, probably not very suitable for illustrating monuments on Wikipedia) but is a legal matter. Aubrey

Quality images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012

Hi! I am happy to announce that today, almost fourteen months after its end, Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 has reached a beautiful milestone in terms of Quality images; there are now exactly two thousand (2,000) files in [[Category:Quality images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012]]! The lucky milestone picture is a photograph of a house at 41 Mark St in the Austrian municipality of Neufelden, Upper Austria, taken by Michael Kranewitter who goes by the user name of [[User:Geiserich77]]. Virxe da Barca sanctuary destroyed

Hi all; Today in Spain, the Virxe da Barca sanctuary has been destroyed by lighting.[1][2][3] I have done a quick search in the Bienes de Interés Cultural catalogue[4] but I don't see it. Anyway it was a notable monument in the region. I have started an article in English Wikipedia[5], and it existed in Galician from August.[6] Some images are available in Commons.[7] Just to remember that Wiki Loves Monuments mission is important. [WLM announce] Wiki Loves Monuments calendars 2014 (with 2013 pictures)

Dear all, Thanks to the amazing help of Lusitana we are planning to print some calendars for 2014 with images from WLM 2013. We plan to print calendars in different parts of the world to have an easier time with shipments (and less hassle with customs :) ) Every local group can request up to 20 calendars, the WLM international group will cover the printing and shipping of those calendars. To request your calendars please fill out the form below: http://bit.ly/WLM2014-calendars-form *please* do that even if you don't wont any calendar and put a 0 in the number of calendars requested. if you don't know yet if you want more calendars, please fill out the form with the information you do know, so that we have a contact person. If you want to have more calendars you can also order and extra quantity and we will print them, but you will need to pay for those. Based on the quotations we received so far we can expect that the calendars will cost between 2.75 USD (2 EUR) and 4.00 USD (3.00 EUR). We will print them in different location based on the destination. If you want extra calendars you will get an extra question at the end of the form where you can specify the extra quantity that you want. We would to print and send the calendars the week after next week so please fill out the form before Sunday 15th, December. If you have any questions, please ask them. The sooner, the better! WLM CH ceremony

Dear all, yesterday during the WLM ceremony for Switzerland the winners have been announced: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2013_winners#Switze… Please take care that any winner can have only one prizes, so may photos are classified but not considered as winning photos. In addition there is also the selection for the international contest. The list os a little bit different as it has been used different parameters.
