Hi Lukas,
I'm glad it interests you, for we do consider that all
that is able to strengthen links between community and "official"
entities (chapters/affiliates) is important.
You can find a
description of the whole process on Meta:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimédia_France/Gouvernance/Siège_communau…
along with the motivations that lead us to this choice.
For now
it's only in French tough… (as soon as a good will translates it, I will
let you know on this list :)
Bien cordialement,
Nadine

Dear Nadine,
Thank you
for sharing these news - congratulations to all new members of the
Wikimédia France board and a big thank you to those whose term has
ended!
I'd be interested learn more about the idea of
'community-elected board
members'. Do you maybe have a link with
additional information about this that you can share with us?
Merci
et bien cordialement,
Lukas
