Hoi,
I have largely lost my appetite for Wikimania and "strategic discussions".
With the USA finally having its house in order, the argument surfaced. We
can do with regional conferences I am told and it is for me to argue
otherwise. I do not want to argue. For me Wikimania has always been a proof
that we care about other countries and other languages. As the majority is
interested in English only, why bother argue?
Thanks,
GerardM

It would be
valuable to know how the community at large, and especially the 99% of
content contributors or the 99.9999% of readers (all figures estimated) who
do not currently go to such events, will be involved. Will there be any
engagement at
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikimania for the 99%?
Banners for the 99.9999%?
