That
doesn't make any difference, Martijn. I ''want'' to be subscribed
to all the topics at my 3000 pages, I just don't want to get a
notification for all them; I want to actively seek most of those at
the watchlist in an opportunistic way.
A single thread is a single topic.
Sorry, I was referring to an encyclopedic topic (i.e. what's covered
by an article), not a conversation topic. In this context, we editors
call "the topic" or "the article's topic" to what's discussed
about
the article, which is covered by all the conversations at an article's
Talk page, that corresponds to a Flow Board. And a Board (i.e. what I
called a page above) can contain hundreds of threads.
In short, I want to see updates to all threads that happen at all my
subscribed articles, but I only want to be notified from updates to
talk pages at those articles that I really care for.
(...I've just realized this overloading of the word "topic" may be a
problem. Something to take into account in future conversations
between the community and development team).
