Today started the second Big Fat Brussels Meeting in Brussels. [1] Representatives from several Wikimedia chapters and other volunteers are now present to discuss, draft and decide the future of our advocacy efforts on the European Union level and the general organisational development of the Free Knowledge Advocacy Group EU. Besides the present chapters, other European chapters support us in work of the Free Knowledge Advocacy Group.
We started today with a short round who is who, including the adoption of our mascot Wendy the Weasel, acronym for Wikimedia European Action System for Enthusiastic Lobbying. See https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wendy_the_Weasel.jpg
A part of the program of these days is organized together with UNSECO; World Book and Copyright Day. [2]
Next meetings/activities: at Wikimania in London and in autumn in Brussels.
Greetings from the group from Brussels!
Romaine
