Hello,
I don't know how long we've had this feature... how often is the data
cached for Wikimedia? Commons has no results.
(Also may it not make more sense to have a drop down list rather than
a text field?)
thanks,
Brianna

As far as I can tell, there is no consensus whatsoever that this new
Table: namespace is wanted or needed.
All I can find is a proposal from *2005* that suggests a complete
WYSIWYG table editor which would incidentally make use of a new
namespace. This was not advertised to the community, especially not
recently, and has certainly not attracted the level of support such a
change needs in order to be implemented. This is the first I and pretty
much everyone else has heard of the idea.
Leaving the namespace in place is going to cause organizational problems
as things which should be in template or article space end up there
while there is no agreement on what the namespace should be used for or
how it operates.
Please remove it.
Thanks,
Gurch

Hi,
is there an existing template for a special page which runs on MediWiki
Version 1.6.9 and 1.9.3 ?
The one I found on metawiki
( http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Writing_a_new_special_page ) only works
with 1.9.3 and doesnt get listed on Special:Specialpages with Version
1.6.9. (and neither is reachable directly).
Thanks for your answears.

Brion/Gregory,
Would it be possible to block Brandt's article from being scraped from
the search engines in the main site
robots.txt file? It would help alleviate the current conflict and
hopefully remove the remaining issues
between Daniel and Wikipedia. After this final issue is addressed, I
feel we have done all we can to correct
Daniel's bio and address his concerns, that being said, there is a limit
on how far good samaritanism should go,
and I think we have done about all we can here. The rest is up to Daniel.

Normal people just *don't understand* passwords.
I used to do dial-up Internet tech support. "What do you want for a
password?" "Oh, [username]." "I'm sorry, you can't have it be the
same." "Oh, [username]1."
Suggestions? Assume we can't require an RSA keyfob for all editors.
