Hello Wikimedians,
My name is Kelly and I am working for the Wikimedia Foundation during the 2010 Fundraiser as the liaison between the Portuguese language community and the Foundation. This year's fundraiser is intended to be a collaborative and global effort, we recognize that banner messages that perform well in the United States don't necessarily translate well, or appeal to Brazilian audiences. And no one knows better what will appeal to Brazilian readers and editors than you!
This year we want to be as community-driven as possible and are looking for input not only with localizing and translating *but also with pointing out messages that don't won't work well in your regions, languages and projects and proposing messages that you think would be work well!* You can see some of the current suggestions (and propose your own) on the Meta messaging page but I also want to encourage you to discuss here on your own project and in your own language. *WE REALLY NEED DISCUSSION on Meta*.
I'm here both to answer questions as they come up and to listen to your feedback about what types of messaging will work and won't work. We'll constantly be tweaking or changing things, based on your input, to try to make everything as perfect as possible for the readers and donors in your language and region. Use the talk pages on meta, talk to your local communities, talk to others, talk to us, and add your feedback to the proposed messages as well. I look forward to working with you during this year's fundraiser, please feel free to contact me with any suggestions or questions about the fundraiser this year.

Meu nome é Kelly e eu estou a trabalhar para a Wikimedia Foundation durante a campanha de angariação de 2010, servindo como elo de ligação entre a Fundação e a comunidade de língua portuguesa. A campanha deste ano foi planeada para ser um esforço colaborativo e global, nós reconhecemos que os banners que fazemos para os Estados Unidos nem sempre são traduzidos da melhor forma, ou são apelativos para a audiência brasileira. E ninguém sabe melhor o que seria apelativo para os brasileiros que vocês.
Este ano nós queremos ser o mais orientado a comunidade quanto possível e e estamos à procura não só de ajuda com a localização e tradução*, mas também querem que apontem as mensagens que não não irão funcionar bem em suas regiões, línguas e projectos e propor as mensagens que vocês acreditam que serão melhores!* Vocês podem ver algumas das sugestões actuais (e propor as suas próprias mensagens) na página de mensagens do Meta, mas também quero incentiva-los a discutir aqui sobre o seu próprio projecto e no seu próprio idioma. *NÓS REALMENTE PRECISAMOS DE DISCUSSÃO no Meta. * Eu estou aqui tanto para responder às perguntas que vão aparecendo quanto para ouvir seus comentários sobre os tipos de mensagens vão ou não funcionar. Estaremos constantemente aprimorando ou mudando as coisas, com base nas suas participações, para tentar fazer tudo o mais perfeito possível para os leitores e os doadores do seu idioma e região. Use as páginas de discussão no meta, converse com as comunidades locais e com outras pessoas, falem connosco, e adicionem seus comentários às mensagens propostas também.
