Hi Everyone,
The Open Content Licensing 4 Educator's Project is progressing rather well ( http://wikieducator.org/Open_Content_Licensing/Home).
The idea is to develop guidelines and support tutorials in helping educators take informed decisions concerning open content licensing. WE will launch a series of free workshops following the international success of the Learning4Content workshops. Shall we try and break another record? Can we host the worlds largest free workshop on open content licensing for educators? Do you think we should give this a try?
Development on the training materials is moving forward. We have a draft content outline for the prospective 5 day online workshop ( http://wikieducator.org/Open_Content_Licensing/Outline_for_materials) and an early draft of the Creative Commons unplugged tutorial ( http://wikieducator.org/Creative_Commons_unplugged/Introduction).
Have a bash at testing your licensing and remix knowledge with this interactive example:
http://wikieducator.org/Open_Content_Licensing/Example:Remix_game_question
(We need a little help from wiki enthusiasts to develop four or five more examples of the License Remix game. -- you will find a few instructions on the example page above. Have a go at developing an interactive example.)
This is a significant project for the future of OER. The OER Foundation is collaborating with WikiEducators, the OpenCourseware Consortium, UNESCO and Creative Commoners to build capacity and share knowledge on open content licenses.
Let the remix begin!
Cheers Wayne
