Hi everyone, my name is Nevio, I’m from Wikimedia Brazil and have contributed to many projects in Brazil. It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I ask your close attention since I'm not a native English speaker. So, if you don't understand something from my email or if you need additional clarification let me know.
I was born in Brasilia, the Brazil's capital and I'm going to present to you the Intersection Project.
In 1892, a Belgian astronomer named Luis Cruls was hired by the Brazilian government to lead a group of scientists to explore the central part of the country – which later future capital of Brazil was built. This expedition was known as the Cruls Mission.
Among these scientists there were public health scientists, geologists, botanics, and so on. Under Cruls guiding they left Rio de Janeiro, crossing Uberaba by train and, finally, arrived in Pirenopolis by horses and mules. They surveyed the whole central plateau of Brazil and made several astounding discoveries. As the most important accomplishment, they settle four points, each one on a corners of the Federal District, where Brasilia lays today.
My Intersection Project aims to explore the same area as the Cruls Mission did and I have divided it into four quadrants bounded by the bisectors Northwest-Northeast; Southeast-Northeast; Southeast- Southwest, and Southwest-Northwest. This area ranges from the crossing of the roads Eixo Rodoviário http://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/pt:DF-002 and Monumental Roadhttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/pt:Eixo_Monumental, in the very center of master plan of capitalhttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:_Pilot_Plan_of_Brasilia - that is the so-called Brasilia Ground Zerohttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/pt:_Marco_Zero_Brasilia. The area is also divided into rings (inner ring and the first ring).
In the subsection "inner ring" will be listed articles directly related to DF http://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:_Distrito_Federal and its administrative areas. In the "first ring" subsection it will be listed the articles related directly to the surroundings of the DFhttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/PT:_Micro-region_of_surrounding_the_Federal_District, extended to the following cities boundaries St Francisco-MGhttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:_San_Francisco_(Minas_Gerais) (East), Ipameri GO http://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:_Ipameri (South), Goiás Velho, GO http://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:_Goias_Velho (west) and Alto Paraíso-GO http://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en_:_Alto_Para%C3%ADso (north).
The project intends to be an ethno-geographical and economical study divided into five dimensions:
1. Places, encompassing mapping and survey information about the other dimensions such as cities, towns, squares, monuments, sights, museums, etc;
2. Topography and hydrology, encompassing the study of hills, mountains, plateaus, valleys, dams, lakes, ponds, rivers, streams and waterfalls;
3. Fauna and Flora, encompassing mammals, birds, trees and flowers.
4. People, including complete biographies of famous persons and interviews with ordinary people; and
5. Small Businesses http://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Small_business, including the study of individual entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium size firms in agriculture and industry, commerce and service sectors of local economy, with emphasis on sustainable businesshttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Susteinability .

Hi everyone, my name is Nevio, i'm from Wikimedia Brazil. It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I beg your close attention for I'm not an english speaker and if you don't understand any word please let me know.
I was born in Brasilia, the Brazil's capital and I'm going to addrres to you a presentation that's is called Intersection Project.
In 1892, a belgian astronomer named Luis Cruls was hired by the brasilian governement to lead a group of cientista to explore the central part of the country where would be builded the future capital of Brazil. It's known as Cruls Mission.
Among these cientists there were sanitarists, geologists, botanics, and so on. Under Cruls guiding they left Rio de Janeiro, went by train up to Uberaba e from there they arrived in Pirenopolis in horses and mules.
They surveyed the whole central plateau and made several astounding discoveries. As the most important job, they settle four trigonometrical points on the for corners of the Federal District, where Brasilia lay today.
My Intersection Project is about to explore the same area as the Cruls Mission did. I divided it into four quadrants.
The mentioned covered area was divided into quadrants bounded by bisectors Northwest-Northeast; Southeast-Northeast; Southeast- Southwest, and Southwest-Northwest. This area ranges from the crossing of roads Eixo Rodoviário http://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/pt:DF-002 and Monumental Roadhttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/pt:Eixo_Monumental, in the very center of master plan of capitalhttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:_Pilot_Plan_of_Brasilia - that is the so-called Brasilia Ground Zerohttp://br.wikipedia.org/wiki/pt:_Marco_Zero_Brasilia .
