I'm very happy to announce that the Affiliations Committee has recognized [1] the Black Lunch Table Wikimedians [2] as a Wikimedia User Group. The group aims to increase the reach, connection with communities, and presence of Wikimedia especially as it pertains to gaps in the coverage of Black visual artists, and to increase the visibility of marginal populations on Wikimedia through events, online meetups, and other creative approaches.
