I'm very happy to announce that the Affiliations Committee has recognized [1] Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda [2] as a Wikimedia User Group. The group aims to promote the Wikimedia projects, and free content in general, in Uganda, and to encourage the use of Wikimedia resources in education there.
