The point was, I think, that no "software" is perfect (not even parents' brain) and that parents can't rely on software too much.
Is this supposed to be a parody of the people who point out the flaws in software solutions but fail to point out the flaws in non-software solutions?
Because, it seemed to me to be an instance of it.
