Actually, pretty much any image being used for the purposes of commentary is a good example. And that's the only reason I can think of that fair use should ever be acceptable in a free encyclopedia anyway.
Take any non-free image on Wikipedia. Most likely it is either 1) not acceptable on Wikipedia, or 2) would be better if it were released under CC-BY-ND.
