Apparently this is from http://www.publaw.com/joint.html Further down on that page, "This article is not legal advice". At the top of that page it says "The law of copyright provides that"... without indicating *which* country's copyright law.
I might as well guess that this is U.S. law, since the author lives in Denver, Colorado.
Can all the amateur lawyers on this list *please* indicate when they are talking of things specific to U.S. law, and keep in mind that the foundation and its projects try to be *international*.
