Dear all,
I am observing the inflow of programme submissions for Wikimania 2024 and I
could not be a happier programme lead than now. However, I know that there
are some session proposals that are still being developed, so we are
extending the deadline to submit your programme proposals until April 10,
2024, 12:00 UTC.
Make it the most memorable learning experience with other Wikimedians by
submitting sessions that are relevant to the Wiki-world and which bring the
Collaboration of the Open, this year's spirit, to Katowice, Poland, and
online!

The Call for Submissions
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_CEE_Meeting_2024/Submissions>
for the Wikimedia CEE Meeting 2024
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_CEE_Meeting_2024> is now open.
You can submit your session proposals until 31 May. If you have something
to say or share with the Central and Eastern European and Central Asian
communities, you can do so at our annual meeting in September.
This year's session proposals can be submitted as lectures, panels,
workshops, lightning talks, roundtables with a standardized duration, and
posters. Also, this year, we will have a new session format -
Demonstration, during which one presenter introduces the methods of working
with a tool, a workflow, or a program. The total time for a demonstration
(including questions and comments) will be 60 minutes.
The Wikimedia CEE Meeting is an annual conference centered on Wikimedia
projects in Central and Eastern European countries (also in Central Asia).
The 2024 meeting will take place in Istanbul, Türkiye, on 27-29 September,
organized by Wikimedia UG Türkiye

Hello all,
I am writing to you today with two important pieces of information. First,
the report of the comments from the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating
Committee (U4C) Charter ratification is now available
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Coordinating_Comm…>.
Secondly, the *Call for Candidates for the U4C* is open now through April 1.
The Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) is a global
group dedicated to providing an equitable and consistent implementation of
the UCoC. Community members are invited to submit their applications for
the U4C. For more information and the responsibilities of the U4C,
please review
the U4C Charter
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Coordinating_Comm…>
.
Per the charter, there are 16 seats on the U4C: eight community-at-large
seats and eight regional seats to ensure the U4C represents the diversity
of the movement.
Read more and submit your application on Meta-wiki
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Coor…>
.
Best,
Patrick
