Hello everyone,
I'm building an online encyclopedia using blog posts. I started this
project in 2017 and so far there are 1,921 posts. To facilitate a basic
level of consistency between posts, I use the information blogging
guidelines
<https://econanalysistools.blogspot.com/2022/03/information-blogging-guideli…>
.
List of posts:
https://econanalysistools.blogspot.com/2017/04/econ-analysis-tools-blog-pos…
I want to be clear that I believe Wikipedia is a very useful and awesome
website. I support everything that the Wikimedia Foundation has done for
sharing free knowledge.
I decided to make these blog posts instead of contributing to Wikipedia for
a few reasons, but mostly because of autonomy and flexibility. Another
reason is that Wikipedia articles are oriented towards getting longer,
while I want to experiment with shorter collections and lists.
My goal is to find other encyclopedia writers who are interested in being
part of an online network of connected encyclopedias. Please let me know if
you want to get involved or have any feedback.
Thanks,
- Alex

Dear Wikimedians,
I am writing this email to invite you to the sixth edition of the DCW Conversation Hour which is taking place virtually on 17 June 2023 at 8:00 PM, IST. The focus of this conversation hour is about how strategic brand equity building and public relation activities can help communities and affiliates to amplify the impact of their Wikipedia projects. Guest Speaker is Chitraparna Sinha, the Founder and Director of Lekhak.xyz, which draws its inspiration from the ancient art of storytelling to build brand equity.
Please take a look at DCW's Conversation Hour website https://hour.dcwwiki.org and bookmark it in order to make your presence in the meeting sure. DCW looks forward to your "being" in the Conversation Hour.

Dear African Wikimedians,
I’m writing to invite you to the second edition of Afrika Baraza
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Afrika_Baraza>, which is going to take
place on 22 June 2023 at 17:00 UTC.
The word Baraza means “meeting place” in Kiswahili. And as such, Afrika
Baraza brings together experienced Wikipedians and new users once every 3
months to have meaningful conversations on all issues related to Wikimedia
in the African continent. It is a platform that continues the conversation
that took place in WikiIndaba Rwanda 2022
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiIndaba_conference_2022> and a build up
to conversations that will take place at WikiIndaba Morocco 2023
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiIndaba_conference_2023>.
In this regard, some of the topics include but are not limited to updates
on Wiki Indaba 2023; scholarships and programme submissions; What is
limiting African Wikimedians from engaging in global movement
discussions,...etc.
Please use this Zoom link <https://wikimedia.zoom.us/j/84739608024> to join
the call.
Looking forward to seeing you on the call as we strive to define the
African Agenda.
Kind Regards,
Bobby Shabangu,
On Behalf of Afrika Baraza Organizing Team
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiIndaba_conference_2023>.
Bobby Shabangu,
