WMPT New board 2023

Hello! Last Sunday, January 15th 2023, Wikimedia Portugal held a General Assembly where a new board was elected. After 4 years as president, in which WMPT saw a huge internal growth in internal organization and activities, Gonçalo Themudo is the new secretary of the board, where i’m now serving as Board President. The Wikimedia Portugal legal structure is now is constituted as following: Board: President: André Barbosa [[User:Alchimista]] ( former Treasurer ) Secretary: Gonçalo Themudo [[User:GoEThe]] (former Board President ) Treasurer: Miguel Correia [[User:Miguelmcorreia]] (former General Assembly secretary) Fiscal Council: President: Waldir Pimenta (remains) Secretary: Alice Santiago Faria (new) Member: Jorge Gomes (former member of General Assembly) General Assembly: President: Manuel de Sousa (former secretary of Fiscal Council) Secretary: Danielly Campos Dias (new) Member: João Lemos (former member of Fiscal Council) The new board was elected by unanimity, on the birthday of Wikipedia. Help us review the second round of Research Fund proposals

Hello, In September, we announced [1] our second call for proposals to the Wikimedia Research Fund [2]. Our submission deadline was December 16. We are now in the exciting phase of reviewing submissions and making recommendations for which proposals to advance to Stage II [3] and we welcome your input. We are using a two-phase review process consisting of a technical review conducted by researchers and an open community process on Meta-Wiki [4] before advancing to the next stages. On Meta-Wiki, you can read the proposals under consideration and leave comments using our feedback form linked from every proposal page. We will review feedback provided by January 27th (23:59 AoE).
