As others mentioned in the thread, WMF can't enforce this directly as it is
not the copyright holder. However, in past instances, we have raised the
issue with Google (similar to the KPN example) and will do so for this one
as well.
I am meeting with Google later today and will flag this to remind them of
the copyright obligations that come with using this text.
Thanks for surfacing this,
Nicholas

Dear all,
We launched WIKIMOVE six months ago, our first podcast around movement
strategy, and have since then invited over ten guests to discuss the
future of the Wikimedia movement. In the spirit of recommendation #10
‘Evaluate, Iterate, Adapt” we created an evaluation survey that will
help us adapt our podcast to your needs and wishes:
https://wikimove.limesurvey.net/774657?lang=en
We look forward to hearing your feedback on how to improve our podcast
in the future!
Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Dear Wikimedians,
The program documentation of the Wikimedia Summit 2022 has been made
available on Meta. The documentation consists of a description and summary
of each conference session of each of three days and topics to follow up
on.[1] Additionally, a short summary of the documentation provides an
overview of the topics discussed, and has been translated into 6 languages
by our colleagues from the Wikimedia Foundation.
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Summit_2022/Documentation
Beyond the documentation of the Summit’s program, we at Wikimedia
Deutschland are working on publishing the evaluation of the feedback survey
as well as an event report with knowledge learned from organizing
Wikimedia’s first global hybrid conference. Organizing the Summit as a
hybrid event has been an exciting, but also a challenging experience, and
of course there’s much room for improvement. The report will be shared by
the end of November via the usual channels.
Beyond the Wikimedia Summit itself, a variety of opportunities are coming
up to continue the conversations and engage in advancing implementation.
It’s the Movement’s “conference season”, and Movement Strategy is a
scheduled topic at several regional conferences in the upcoming weeks.
In the virtual space, the first round of conversations on the Movement
Charter will take place in November. Based on the conversations at the
Summit, the Movement Charter Drafting Committee will be collecting feedback
on the first drafts of the Charter. More about all of that on Meta
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Movement_Charter/Drafting_Committee>[2]
and the Forum <https://forum.movement-strategy.org/top?period=monthly>[3].

The Wikimedia Movement Strategy implementation is a collaborative effort
for all Wikimedians. Movement Strategy Implementation Grants
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Grants:MSIG/About> support
projects that take the current state of a Movement Strategy Initiative
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Movement_Strategy/Initia…>
and
push it one step forward. If you are looking for an example or some guide
on how to engage your community further on Movement Strategy and the
Movement Strategy Implementation Grants specifically, you may find
this community
engagement package
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Grants:MSIG/Community_En…>
helpful.
The goal of this community engagement package is to support more people to
access the funding they might need for the implementation work. By becoming
a recipient of this grant, you will be able to support other community
members to develop further grant applications that fit with your local
contexts to benefit your own communities. With this package, the hope is to
break down language barriers and to ensure community members have needed
information on Movement Strategy to connect with each other. Movement
Strategy is a two-way exchange, we can always learn more from the
experiences and knowledge of Wikimedians everywhere. We can train and
support our peers by using this package, so more people can make use of
this great funding opportunity.
If this information interests you or if you have any further thoughts or
questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your regional facilitators
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Movement_Strategy_and_Go…>
to
discuss further. We will be more than happy to support you. When you are
ready, follow the steps on this page

apply. We look forward to receiving your application.
