Can you please post link to that page?
Thank you

Yoni, why not start performing translations on MediaWiki_talk: pages
as was suggested? Apologies if you already have.

But I don't see why the copy of those files should not be available to
wide community. Specially if they are not fully translated, or
translated well.
I think that you lose time in birocracy glitches, instead to look for
solutions. Making copy of GUI files should be easy to solve this
problem, or any of this kind.
Hope to be of help.

I disagree. I think I am entitled to use the tools Wikimedia can offer in

You might want to show more activity in Commons before going through the RfA.

Indeed. I don't know about Commons, but on the projects I know the
only way of appealing an RfA decision is to go through RfA again. I
would suggest you wait at least a month or two, probably longer,
before trying that, though.
Hi,
I am talking about the following unfair vote:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Administrators/Requests_and_votes…
-
(note that the link may not work because of the "-" at the end of the link:
I have once before opened a redirect from
Commons:Administrators/Requests_and_votes/Yonidebest-2
to
Commons:Administrators/Requests_and_votes/Yonidebest-2-
but it has been deleted before. I hope they wont delete my redirect again.
In any case - if the link doesnt work, please add a "-" at the end of the
address bar link).

I'm feeling generous, so I went and found the appropriate page (I have
nothing to do with commons, so I'll provide an unbiased summary):
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Administrators/Requests_and_votes…
Summary (as I understand it): Yonidibest wants adminship (would be
happy with temporary adminship) on commons in order to translate the
interface into Hebrew and is already an admin on the Hebrew wikipedia.
The consensus seems to be that adminship is not needed for that task.
It was suggested that the translations either be made directly to SVN
[that is, the mediawiki code itself], or to the talk pages and left
for an existing admin to transfer over. Yonidibest believes these
alternative methods are an unnecessary waste of time.
I have no knowledge of translation, so I have no opinion on who is right.
