I notice that we don't have any sessions at the Hackathon about
Chapters/Thematic orgs/Usergroups/informal local groups.
I wonder if it might make sense to have something during the Hackathon or
one of the lunchtimes to discuss ways to improve communication and
cooperation among the many different types and sizes of groups working in
the Wikimedia universe.
I don't think we should rehash financially intensive projects like the old
WCA, but rather look at no-budget projects that can help bring us all
together, for example group peer review.
Thanks,
Richard

Hello Wikimaniacs,
Does anybody at Wikimania use Lycamobile? I've got a £20 top-up voucher
which my family left behind when they visited the UK last year. It's still
valid. Reply to me off-list if you want it.

Hi, everyone!
I'm planning on seeing Les Misérables tonight, and thought I'd check if
anyone else wanted to join. It begins at 1930 at the Queen's Theatre, the
nearest Tube stations are Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square.
If you'd like to join, send me an email or text me at +4797767510. :-)
Hi,
This is the second report I have heard about last minute visa surprises.
This kind of problem is disruptive not just for those who were denied entry
but for others who were planning on the attendance of the person whose visa
was denied.
In any case, can you give your presentation remotely?

Using Magnus' tool and typing in "Barbican Centre" I got 79 results needing a photo…Let's see if we can knock that number down this week:

Hi all,
With great regret I inform you that I can not attend Wikimania 2014. The
Foreign & Commonwealth Office of UK informed me today that decided not to
grant the visa. They say that the letter of support Wikimania should say
that I was speaker and that they fear that I'll go to stay to live in UK.
For me it is a great pity the situation, I already had everything ready.
For your information, my submision is:
https://wikimania2014.wikimedia.org/wiki/Submissions/Context_visualization_…
and be presented on Sunday, August 10th at 14:30.
I hope not cause serious problems and that space can be filled.
See you at Wikimania 2015 in Mexico.
Regards.

Hi, there are any activities in Wikimania open to travel-companions
non-registered?
(e.g: Sunday afternoon/evening activities)
Which are?
There is any limitation for children entrance in these activities? (if any)
Thanks.
David.
Dear Wikimaniacs.
Let's organize the first Wikipedia-Jersey-Exchange.
Can we get together at the "England vs Rest of the World Rapid Cricket match" (20.00h at the WMUK table in the community village. See link below) or where and when would you like to meet?
https://wikimania2014.wikimedia.org/wiki/England_vs_Rest_of_the_World_Rapid…
kind regards,
