Kaew, I have added all three (:O) members of this year's international team.

For everyone's record the lists of 2012-13 international team are here:

I have a little favor to ask:
- The current international team, please create you own page.
- Lodewijk, please provide information for 2011 and before.
This is for our own record and it may help future WLM understand the past events.
P.S. If by 6th of Jan you can't fill in international team vacancy, I am willing to help. This is the same as what I have offered for WLM2014. However, unlike other well established chapters, I still need to involve with my national contest.
Best, Kaew

Hi Kaew,
in the past years, this was not really an issue - the number of
applications
was rather small, and the most important outcome is that there is a team that covers the diverse qualities needed (you need some people who are
good
with tedious tasks, some more social people, some coordinator, someone
more
technical, someone good in PR, someone good in communication with
countries
etc.) and that can work well together. It is in part about chemistry :)
So in that way, it seems best to set it up like an endorsement process
based
on who commits to join the team from the past years (so far, that seems
to
be at least Karthik and Romaine).
Just for the record: in the scenario that someone is not selected, this
does
not mean at all you're not competent! It might very well mean that they
are
looking for another set of skills (for example, it is very hard to find volunteers who can coordinate the technical processes and databases etc).
I'm not in the team however, so I won't be making the decisions :) But
this
is how it happened in the past years, and it worked well.
Best, Lodewijk

Another equally important question:
Who will decide on the application of WLM2015 international team member? [+How it will be decided? + When will it be announce?]
My guess is that [at least the current WLM2014] international team will do this. But where is the official list of current or past international team? It is not shown on Common nor our official site.
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/Internat...
http://www.wikilovesmonuments.org
If there is such a page, it will provide a very clear example for Romaine's list of qualification for the team member?
May I suggest the following?
- Put the list of current and past international team on common.
- Selection process (eligibility criteria, panel members, process
[How & When]) is clearly announced in advance by the person who have the authority to do so.
An example of eligibility criteria...
- past WLM international team is eligible to apply
- A country wishing to participate in WLM2015 and had participated in
the past two WLMs can nominate a person to be on the team. The national team should indicate their intention to participation in WLM2015 at the same time as nomination for intentional team member.

Hello all,
The beginning of a new year is close, and we should start in January with a team to organise Wiki Loves Monuments 2015. So the question is:
Who is interested in joining the international team?
Requirements:
- You have organized Wiki Loves Monuments in one or more earlier years
in your country (or a similar contest)
- You have the time to commit yourself from January to December 2015
to
organize Wiki Loves Monuments in a team. We have monthly meetings with in the weeks before the actual contest a weekly meeting.
What the international team does:
- The team helps local teams with answers, advice, and communicates
about what is expected and what deadlines there are.
- Creates lists of monuments
- Maintains a monument database
- Requests and has a budget
- Searches for sponsors
- Chooses prizes
- Sends survey
- Creates a calendar?
- Does the reporting
and a lot more...
For 2015 we should aim for reaching out to all the countries/areas
where
a team has participated in earlier years, to reach out to chapters and user groups who haven't organized it before, and to reach out to Wikipedia communities which have no chapter and no experience in organisation
but
do want to do this. There are still a lot of countries without lists of monuments on Wikipedia,
So if you commit your enthousiasm and your time to the team, be
welcome!
Let us know!
Kind regards,
Romaine
