There are a bunch of unanswered questions about piwik that make me not want to use it:
Do you offer any guarantees on the uptime or stress-performance of the system? Do you offer any way to import past data from Google Analytics? Is there any guarantee that you're following data protection rules in the country where the server is installed? Does that law even allow private persons to access the data (that's especially doubtful, as it is probably in the EU)? What happens to the piwik installation after the contest ends?
I'd much rather go along with the known problems of GA rather than explore unchartered waters. But most of all, my problem is: why didn't anyone have a problem with those last year, as we were using both GA and Facebook then, but not it suddenly became such a huge (non-)issue.
Also, I don't know about the universalsubtitles thingie, but removing the Facebook box would not serve us at all, since most of the promotion was done on Facebook.
If none of you will be willing to set a Central Notice for wlm.ro, we can always use alternative promotion means.

Hi Strainu, indeed there is no policy about (not) allowing links from CentralNotice banners to websites using third party analytics systems, just as I wrote in my offlist e-mail to you.
I can only provide you with an opinion of a Wikimedia Foundation Legal and Community Advocacy team member, who is deeply uncomfortable about us linking to websites using Google Analytics, and therefore giving our users' very sensitive data to a third company for free.
I would very much like to avoid any controversies and arguments with regard to this subject; we have installed and configured Piwik for your use specifically to keep our users' data safe, and am (yet again) urging you to do use this opportunity.
