Hi Taweetham,
Yes you can actually work to obtain a grant from Wiki Loves Monuments in Thailand. The Philippines requested for it in 2012http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:WM_PH/Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012and will do again this year. You can check out this http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Index to help you.

Hi All,
We are still finding juries and sponsors for Wiki Loves Monuments in Thailand. I had contacted several people and wrote a formal letter to the Thai Fine Art Department. They are yet to reply to us. Do you have any words of advice or some easy sponsors that we can approach?
The next stage is to prepare an advertising campaign. I see two separate tasks:
- Designing a promotional materials. Do you have examples or
templates in GIMP/photoshop format for us to use as a guide? 2. Distributing the materials online and offline.
- Online: A number of our volunteers are very experienced with
fighting SEO/spam on Thai Wikipedia. I think we will be able to put the skills to a good use in a opposite direction.
- Offline: I have lists of name and address all schools in Thailand.
The cost of sending (printing+postage) of promotional materials could be as little as $1 (can be as cheap as $0.3 but you get black and white rather than colour) per school. We see school students as an important target group and physical mail to school as a very effective means of communication. We will need some funding for this. Is there a grant available for this purpose?
As soon as I get jury and award sorted out, I will launch the campaign. Hopefully, it could be done by early next month.
Many thanks, Taweetham
