Yaroslav, how sad! (about both the lack of lists on ru wiki *and* the loss of the churches - they were beautiful) This is definitely one of the reasons I contribute to WLM!

Maarten's notes were meant to be used on Wikipedia, but I believe some groups have their lists on Commons - isn't that right?
I believe all groups have their lists on Wikipedia. The only exception is Russia, which last time did not use lists at all, and strongly discouraged their creation. There are several of the Russian lists on Commons, created by me and other users, and several I believe somewhere on Russian Wikipedia, but those lists are not maintained, not used for WLM, and only cover a tiny fraction of the monuments.
Cheers Yaroslav
BTW recently (May, 14?) two of the churches in the triple church ensemble of Lyadiny burned down. I still managed to take a photo of the ensemble, http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Lyadiny1.jpg , when I visited several years ago (only the middle church on the photo survived). This was one of the five existing triple wooden ensembles in the world. Media, as usual, did not care at all, but may be we could use it in some promotion work for WLM.
