As for CSV thanks for idea, but I must take some time to learn how does it work. Is there any Help page in commons about "harvesting the images on Commons, categorizing them and suggesting unused images for your lists"?
There will be soon - we are working on a better documentation and an infographic that explains it in a more illustrated, not too techy way.
For the moment, we have some information on the database here:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2011/Monument...
Please reconsider the templating thing. I remember my sceptical thoughts about that last year, but it's so much easier to edit a block like
{{NRHP row |pos= |refnum= |type= |article= |name= |address= |city= |county= |date= |image= |lat= |lon= |description= }}
than struggling around with the horrible wikitable syntax ;-) I met quite a couple of newbie-photographers/participants in WLM 2011 who started editing these templates by just adding the filename to the image parameter - imagine that with table syntax?
Advantages: * the lists become machine-readable and this allows all the fancy things erfgoedbod and the database does (more to come soon) * the lists can be designed centrally, additional columns or parameters can be added or reformatted easily (change column order, make text smaller or position data from one column to another...)
There's more about that, but I need to work on the infographic ;-)
