This is the coordinates tool that is used on the Dutch wiki. It generates the code for the wiki-template, by picking a place on the map.
I hope this helps us all out..
I am currently working on improving this one. My current version will do any changes you do directly to the generated template, so you don't need to click the coordinate again, and with help of Dispenser, the maintainer of the geohack tools, it can select the region automatically. I will move this version shortly to multichill's version.
If we should support other templates for other wiki's, I can look into that as well. For the auto-edit tools to work, some javascript should be installed on that wiki, but then I can add it to the list.
I am thinking of moving this to a project account on the toolserver, so if others are willing to help with this, let me know.

Andre

Tomasz, The tool I have been using is this one: http://www.gpscoordinaten.nl/bepaal-gps-coordinaten.php You will need google translate on to use it, but it seems to work quite fast for me. And here is a link to Unesco monuments with geocoordinates: http://whc.unesco.org/en/254 http://whc.unesco.org/en/254Wow, your list is long! You may want to split those up into a list hierarchy if you have time - during our competition it was quite slow to make modifications to such long lists.
Nice work! Jane

Hey all, I have been wondering for some time about a tool which could be used for adding geographic coordinates to the list of monuments in a country.
Some users on the Polish Wikipedia have already started adding coordinates to monuments located near their locations (example: < http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedysta:Tommy_Jantarek/Zabytki_wielkopolski
).
Answering their question about what tool should be used, I told them to use the famous GeoLocator http://tools.freeside.sk/geolocator/geolocator.html which has been used both on the Polish Wikipedia as well as on the Commons.
What tool do you use? Are there any other, better suitable tools to be used?
Another question is about the possibility of having a pan-European sponsorship or patronage from a European (not only from the European Union) organisation or institution.
It has been suggested to me that we may try getting sponsorship or patronage from Europeana http://www.europeana.eu/portal/ and today I have been leaked that indeed we have gained sponsorship from that organisation; however I can't find any information about that in the archives, so that's maybe a behind-the-scenes activity? Any upcoming press releases of which I haven't been told? :-)
