I don't think it would be very helpful to transfer them already if there is no possibility yet to display them on Wikipedia directly from Wikidata. Because that would basically mean that if you want to make an improvement, you would have to do so on two places: on wikipedia, and in wikidata.
Also, I understood Wikidata can't handle all the data types yet that we need.

actually, since most of the monuments are notable, one can start creating entries about them on Wikidata already now.
