How does the German Wikipedia do this?
We're using the terms used in the respective state laws. So we have Kulturdenkmale, Kulturdenkmäler, Baudenkmale, Baudenkmäler, depending on the region. There were some users who suggested using just one term, but that was dismissed in a poll, mainly because of the OR policy.
In general, it's hard for non-heritage-enthusiasts to understand and appreciate the diversity of terms and names in that field, but I think that by any means we should stick with the actual and official terms.
Best regards,
Kilian
