perhaps it is worth mentioning that in some parts of the world, January is actually summer, May is autumn and August is winter :)

Hi Els,
concerning the choice which foto to place in which month , until now it is assumed, that it simply follows the the position of the ranking.
cover - first prize january - second february - third aso
You are right, it might cause some smiles / eye brow lifting if August shows a winter picture. May be in that case the international team could switch the position. The licence for each foto will mentioned on the last page. Please be aware that it may differ from foto to foto. The calendar from 2012 did not show the logos of wikimedia or wikipedia neither on the front nor on the last page. But If we would like to have them there it should not be a problem to add them on the last page.

Hi Barbara,
I look forward to the new calendar!
Just some details for you to consider:
- in the 2011 edition May had a real grim (beautiful) photograph that
didn't correspond to the season, maybe intentionally? The point is: will the photographs be placed in a certain month intentionally?
- in the colophon maybe it is enough to add a phrase like "alle
photographs are contributed under the CC BY-SA 3.0 license" instead of repeating this 13 times?
- is it possible to add the Wikipedia logo and the Wikimedia logo besides
teh logos of possible sponsors?
Kind regards,
Els Arends
