Instagram and Creative Commons

Dear all, a doubt: is Instagram compatible with Creative Commons? Can I upload *my* Instagram pics on Commons (so could it be used for WLM)? Please consider that I'm not suggesting Instagram pics are good for WLM (they are filtered and all, probably not very suitable for illustrating monuments on Wikipedia) but is a legal matter. Aubrey

Winners of Wiki Loves Monument 2018

Hi all, We are ready to announce winners of 2018 WLM. The top 15 photos will be announced one by one as winners on our social media: https://twitter.com/wikimonuments https://www.instagram.com/wikilovesmonuments/ https://www.facebook.com/WikiLovesMonuments/ We will also post an article on our website once all winners are announced. We will start at 8am GMT from the 15th place and work backward toward number 1, posting one photo every 30 minutes. We also share photos ranked 16 to 25 as honorable mentions. Those winners are being announced on our social media at the moment. Please feel free to share, post, re-post our posts and spread the word about Wiki Loves Monuments. Today is the most exciting part of the competition and marks the fruition of everybody's efforts. Huge congratulations to all winners as well as national organizers and volunteers. Announcement of results

Hi all, This email comes late to you and I apologize for that. In the midst of planning we missed the step of notifying the public list. ==Date== We have started announcing the results on social media now. The posts will come out in intervals and the winner post is set to be announced at 15:00 UTC. ==Social media== Our Twitter and Instagram accounts have started the countdown: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wikilovesmonuments/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/wikimonuments ==Blog== There will be a blog post on wikilovesmonuments.org and blog.wikimedia.org. The WLM blog post will go out as soon as the winner is announced and we hope that WMF blog post happens at the same time as well. ==Banner== There is a tentative plan to have a banner on Wikimedia projects, similar to the one we had two years ago, that would indicate the results are announced and would send the users to the WMF blog post.
