If you're not on Debian or Ubuntu. Although "yum install parsiod" or whatever might work on other Linux distros, what if you're on Windows or something more exotic?
If you don't have root access, but you don't need to install nodejs because it is already available.
If you don't have root access, but you can install nodejs manually in ~/bin or the like.
