But that is a good question, and the fact that you ask it might mean that perhaps that report is not as good as I thought for starters.
There is a keyboard "easy" identifying bug reports explicitly thought to be easy for newcomers:

131 bugs found. You can go through them and pick one.
You can also search "minor" or "trivial" bugs through the advanced search. Many of them are easy for starters even if when they are not flagged as such.
After fixing several minor/trivial bugs you will acquire the experience to go after bigger problems.
