Think also in the mobile implementation, which I bet are relevant in a country like India. I did a search and I found this one, as an example: Show English search result if none in other language https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32541 Imagine Gujarati mobile users being able to search and get results at least in English, if a Gujarati version doesn't exist. Makes sense to me, and it seems that the first one suggesting this idea was no less than Vodafone India. Of course you can go for any other bug you prefer. There is a keyboard "easy" identifying bug reports explicitly thought to be easy for newcomers: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/buglist.cgi?keywords=easy&resolution=--- 131 bugs found. You can go through them and pick one. You can also search "minor" or "trivial" bugs through the advanced search. Many of them are easy for starters even if when they are not flagged as such.
