I second that it would be great if it were possible. It's a tad annoying to hunt down a link to refer a message to someone else.

speaking of "great". I would prefer if the archived mail was some kind of wiki. the original mail would still be preserved in the history.

This can be automatically done with a mail-to-wiki gateway. I developed something for mediawiki, see [1, 2]
