Hi,
Subdomains of wikibooks.org don't work, only wikibooks.org and www.wikibooks.org are available, but not e.g. en.wikibooks.org.
Regards,

Looks like domain wildcards are set up:
root@xoom:~>host -l wikibooks.org wikibooks.org name server gunther.bomis.com wikibooks.org name server zwinger.wikipedia.org wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.235 wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.236 *.wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.235 *.wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.236
This works for me:
root@xoom:~>host en.wikibooks.org en.wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.235 en.wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.236
So does this:
root@xoom:~>host fakename.wikibooks.org fakename.wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.235 fakename.wikibooks.org has address 207.142.131.236
Perhaps there's something odd with the wildcard setup? I'm actually surprised that I could see entries for "*.wikibooks.org" since I'd thought those were supposed to be handled by the authoritative nameservers. The way they're listed above makes it appear as if the local resolver (or my ISPs DNS servers) would handle the wildcard part -- perhaps that's why Jens is having trouble?

This is some sort of DNS caching problem. Jason changed the entries more than 28 hours ago, and obviously it was working for me or else I wouldn't have moved the site. Querying DNS via the root nameservers gives an unambiguous correct result: zwinger as the primary authoratative server, and gunther as the secondary. Please contact me if you experience this problem, I want to make sure it's not isolated before I move the site back.
