MediaWiki Looks "Fat" in IE 6/7!! HELP

HI, I don't know why my Mediawiki 1.9.3 looks "fat" in IE 6/7, but in Firefox is just all right. All the tables separated. Attached picture, please help. Thanks! -- ---BiGreat--- www.Liang-Chen.com

Mailman removed the image. Post in the web and send the link instead. Can you provide the site page? Have you removed any IE related CSS files?

Happens in IE6 too. Try making the logo smaller. It may be forcing the resize.

IE is rendering your page in quirks mode for some reason. This is almost certainly the cause of the problem. On 2/28/07, Platonides <Platonides(a)gmail.com> wrote:

And checking it with the XHTML validator <http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fkaoshi.wobuxihuan.org%2F>, I see the reason: you've added a BOM to some file, probably LocalSettings.php but possibly any PHP file you've edited. This is likely the result of using a sucky editor like Notepad. Look at the beginning of LocalSettings.php and other files you've edited with a hex editor (Google for a selection); you should see three gibberish bytes at the beginning of one or more of them, EF BB BF. Delete those and save and things should clear up.
