If I'm not mistaken, the MW Parser already does thos and Parsoid relies
on MW for this.
So assuming we can go from Wikitext -> HTML (we already can) and
HTML -> Wikitext (which is, AFAICT, what we would need a PHP
implementation of) then we're golden!
